Insurance Protocol

We receive a high volume of insurance forms every week that we are happy to complete and send.

At times forms can be submitted that don’t have the relevant or correct details to allow us to complete the claims, which causes delays to ourselves and you.

We request that you ensure your claim form is completed with the following before handing this into us:

  • Your name
  • Your pets name
  • The policy number
  • The condition you are claiming for
  • Your signature if required
  • Along with the correct email address of your insurance company

If your claim arrives to us via email, we will still require this information to be sent over via Petsapp to allow us to submit the information needed for your claim correctly. Our team will contact you to ask for this information, but we can’t start processing your claim without this information.

We aim to complete and send all your insurance forms with relevant invoices within 7 working days.

We will be notifying clients when their claim has been processed and submitted to the insurance company.

Insurance companies can take much longer to process and pay out on claims dependent on the company, and we therefore recommend you contact your insurer directly if there are any delays or questions.

We also politely remind clients that we only do Direct Claims with Petplan or when the vet has agreed to arrange a pre-authorisation ahead of a procedure. All other claims will be submitted promptly and efficiently after payment to Woolton Vets and once in receipt of the above details.
